Executive Director, WDFSA
Tamuna serves as the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of WFDSA. In her capacity she leads and oversees the WFDSA initiatives that focus on advocating direct selling industry’s position with external stakeholders, promoting women’s economic empowerment initiatives, fostering highest ethical conduct in the marketplace and enhancing local association management. She works with various governments, consumer groups and academics around the world and serves as the global spokesperson for the industry.
Prior to joining WFDSA, Tamuna was a diplomat and has an extensive experience in matters of international commerce and business.
Tamuna is very passionate about promoting the economic empowerment for women and supporting the advancement of women in international trade and business globally. She has been actively involved with the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT), a premier, DC based global organization since 2004 and served as the Treasurer and currently serves as the Vice President for Chapter Support. She is the co-recipient of the Association of Women in International Trade (WIIT) Outstanding Section/Committee Award .
Tamuna is a member of OWIT Executive Board and the WFDSA Board of Directors.
Tamuna holds MA in International Development from the School of International Service, American University in Washington DC.
